Overall: Being a regular visitor of City of Dreams Manila, we’ve been familiar with the brand Prego as it is just beside the second level casino hall. Seeing from the outside, the place looks really posh and intimidating. And as researched, the prices are quite steep.

We’re glad they have this more casual branch and yes, this one’s cheaper than their City of Dream’s branch. It is located at SM Aura Premier’s Sky Garden.

When dining here, you got to choose several options where to sit. One’s here at their indoor area, and the other’s the one in the middle of the garden. As we would want to just dine peacefully sans the crowd, we chose this indoor area.

Lotsa cheese! All of these were very tempting to order. They sell these babies per 100g, price depending on the variant. They also sell their very own special truffle sauce, should you want to make a pasta of your own at home.

Feast for our eyes, these delicate drinks were just right beside us so you guessed it right, we gave in to ordering one glass for each one of us.

Outside this area was this little table full of goodies – wines, biscuits and pasta noodles, all good for taking home at reasonable prices.

The other area, just across the indoor one, was the refreshing option as there were lots of greens surrounding it. But this one’s more of a bar feels than a dining atmosphere.

On the other side, they have this al fresco area for a more relaxed and secluded dining, away from the crowd walking left and right.

Time to start this feast of everything Italian!

While waiting for our orders, we were given this complimentary bread basket with butter, liver pate and tomatoes. Not sure if this was refillable but we didn’t ask for any as we plan to pig out on the pizza and pasta. Mehehe.

Selection of Cheeses (P250) – Not sure if its just our transition to being one of the Titos and Titas of Manila (lol) but seeing and savoring different kinds of cheese is just overly satisfying. And this little cheese board was more than enough to wake up our senses.

Fritto Misto di Mare (P230) – Our cone of appetizers. Calamari, sardines, prawns were the main attraction for this, well-complemented by the aioli dip.

Tajerin al Tartufo (P390) – Familiar? No, this is not Lucky me Pancit Canton. Hihi. But this is one the best Truffle Pasta we’ve ever tasted. It was distinctly aromatic from afar, which made us salivate desperately for it to be tasted. Its noodle was made from scratch, and the truffle sauce as well. Don’t be fooled by the laidback look as this one bursts the most flavorful truffle sauce ever.

Gorgonzola Pizza (P380) – We actually cannot believe how this pizza just cost 380 pesos. It’s generously topped with tomato, gorgonzola cheese, asparagus and prosciutto di parma. Famous pizzerias sell their pizzas for more than 500 bucks yet they scrimp on ingredients. This was definitely a game changer for us.

Wild Rock Sauvignon Blanc (P320 each) – So yeah, we did order wine. And since this was an impulse order (yep, blame the wine cellar just beside us), we didn’t have any exact preference. We just asked the waiter what’s the best one to compliment the foods we’ve ordered. Viola! Sauvignon Blanc, perfect choice! It was light as the foods we had were already too bold.

Tartufo Cake (P250) – We didn’t finish the pizza, we’re already too full and our tummies were already blowing up. But, we still have this already on the table so we grabbed our dessert spoons and tried this. We looked at one another, stared for a few seconds and said ‘SHIT’. GUYS THIS IS THE BEST TRUFFLE CAKE EVERRRRR!! Game over! The search is over! Lol! It was legit drop-dead good! And guess what, we finished it in less than 5 minutes, wanting for more. After this, we actually called the attention of the manager to ask if they source their cake somewhere else (AND WE’LL DEFINITELY FIND IT HIHI). To our surprise, the chef made this himself. OMG hands down to his craft. We’ll definitely be back for this. (Price for Tartufo Cake was not included in the total amount printed, as not shown in the first photo)

Prego, open another branch in Makati or Ortigas please? Hihi.

Value for money: Worth it!!!
