? Mad Mark’s Creamery and Good Eats – ❤️❤️???
? Pioneer Center Supermart, Pasig City
? Date for Two: Daily Steak, Johnnie Double Black Ribs, Double Scoop Ice Cream
? Total: P698
We were so excited for this dinner as (a) Steak! and (b) Ice Cream. We’ve been hearing good stuff about Mad Mark’s from our friends way way back, and seeing from the crowd we usually encounter at their Greenbelt branch, it sure looks interesting! That’s why when we see the empty branch at PC Supermart, we went in right away.
Johnnie Double Black Ribs (P265) – half slab baby back ribs with two sides. Two rice for this huge ribs! No judging, we’re so hungry that night. Lol. The ribs was tasty, serving size was good obviously, but the tenderness was a bit off and the meat seems not fresh. It was very dry.
Daily Steak (P265) – this one’s a 150 grams of USDA value select cut, with choice of two sides as well. We got plain rice and corn and carrots, and chose the bootstrap steak sauce. Doneness we requested was medium rare but we think we got medium well. Same with the ribs, the meat was very dry and not tender at all.
Double Scoop Ice Cream (P168) – Single scoop costs 98 so the Double Scoop was the practical option if you’re dining in two. We’ve ordered their best-seller Super Baked Madagascar and Matchawaited. In the end, their ice cream saved our day. The Super Baked Madagascar was very creamy and yummy, although not that spectacular. The Matchawaited was also good but the other match ice creams we’ve tried were better.
Plus, the service was not that good. Everyone was just too slow and not attentive despite the small branch.
Value for money: We went home stuffed but not happy, so not worth it.
